18th February: Memorial Party |
 On 18th February, a concert took place as part of the Che Guevara Jazz project, which was dedicated to the memory of the famous Cuban contrabassist, Orlando (Cachaito) López, who was part of Buena Vista Social Club since its inception in 1996 and who died in a Havana hospital on 9th February of this year.
The concert included three new compositions, one of which, Cachaito Forever, was dedicated to Orlando (Cachaito) López and written by his nephew Abelardo Alfonso López.
